Under a new design initiative, Tenten Creative is working with one of our clients in Taipei to find a UI/UX Designer that can turn complex business logic and processes into supremely usable, aesthetically appealing digital user interfaces and user experiences.
As a UI/UX designer, you will work closely with product managers, marketing managers, copywriters, and engineers, be responsible for creating intuitive interfaces and user flows and advocate user-centered design process, along with understanding real user motivations, behaviors and goals.
To be successful, you are an out-of-box thinking UX/UI designer with deep hands-on experience and knowledge in UX and UI design.
Responsibilities
- Define user interfaces for mobile applications and websites.
- Follow a user experience design process from concept to execution; approach design from the user's perspective and balancing user needs alongside business goals and technical capabilities.
- Work with the team and client to translate business and users’ goals into elegant and practical designs that can deliver on key business and user metrics.
- Hands on UX design: user requirements, storyboards, wireframes, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications.
- Champion best practices and standards related to UX / IA throughout products and services.
- Brainstorm new features, products, and functionalities and update existing products/services to help foster strategic business growth and enhance the overall experience.
- Ensure designs and user interfaces communicate consistent, effective experiences and messages across all platforms, and are in alignment with core site and branding strategy.
- Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.
- Help create, maintain and enforce design style guides, templates, brand book and toolkits.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a user interface designer, user experience (UX) designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar design roles
- Fluent in design basics including Typography, Color Theory, and Layout across different form factors.
- A strong online portfolio of work with multiple shippable digital products, illustrating your involvement and pieces such as journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and lo/hi fidelity prototypes.
- Have deep understanding of the tools of the trade (Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills - Can articulate clearly your design decisions to product teams and executive leadership and understand the right questions to ask based on the audience for feedback.
- Knowledgable in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, user experience principles, techniques and patterns.
- Ability to create prototypes with InVision, Principle, Axure, and/or html/css/javascript.
